Grow This Rose is a reference database of roses and is a free service to anyone wishing to use it.  In order to survey roses and add to the database you will need to setup an account.  This is simply part of the process that allows your data to be searched via zone, location and experience.  We do not sell your personal information for any reason.

Upon registration you will be able to select from a list of roses and take a simple survey about that rose which will allow you to add your experience with that rose to the database.  The survey is a simple 10 question survey to rate the rose as it has grown for you.  This is an AARS type survey for vigor, fragrance, disease resistance, foliage, flower production, growth habit, bud and flower form, starting and ending color, winter hardiness and overall value to you.  At the end of the survey you can add comments, helpful tips etc... for others to read.  You are allowed to upload one picture with each survey that will be attached to your comments.  This will allow you contribute a rose rating, picture and growing experiences for each rose that you survey.

After completing a rose survey you can update your survey data as often as you wish so that your survey data is always current.  You simply log back into the Grow This Rose website and select the rose you surveyed from the rose list and your data will be recalled from the database.  This is important because each time you update your rose data a new time stamp is applied to your survey.  This will move the results to the top of all searches and help keep the database as accurate as possible.

So why are we doing this?  We do have a subscription based service called my Rose Journal which allows users to maintain a complete rose journal of all their roses and rose gardening experiences.  You are not required to use my Rose Journal or pay any fees to use Grow This Rose.

As rose growers ourselves, we realize that growing roses is a very rewarding hobby.  Sharing your rose gardening experiences with others is also rewarding and can be very beneficial for all.

To setup an account click on the "Register" link above.  You will be taken to the Rose Forums to register.  Forum use is not required, we simply use the forum site to provide our registration process.  After completing your registration you will see an icon called "My Rose Journal."  Click on that icon and then click the link to "My Rose Surveys."

Your registration to Grow My Rose is non expiring.  The evaluation period for my Rose Journal lasts 30 days.  At the end of 30 days if you do not wish to subscribe to my Rose Journal you may continue to use the Rose Forums and Grow This Rose.
